Travel Treasures: Paris, France

A few weeks ago, I visited Paris for the first time. People always talk about how amazing Paris is, and honestly I didn't believe them until I went. What an incredible city! I had no idea there was a place where craftsmanship and beauty are important to everything from the bread to the subway stations. Diamond - Stone of the Month

The birthstone of the month of April is the diamond. The diamond is surrounded by many different stories, most of which involve eternal love and wealth. The ancient Hindus gave the diamond the name "Vajra" (which means lightening), because of the way it reflects light and its extreme hardness. Unlike the Hindus the ancient Greeks believed that the fire of a diamond reflected the flame of everlasting love. Just as I catch my breath from the excitement of winter to enjoy this incredible spring weather, I wanted to let you know that I will be the featured jewelry artist at Lillstreet Gallery in April. Lillstreet Art Center, located in Chicago's historic Ravenswood Industrial Corridor at 4401 N. Ravenswood, is a large art facility that offers art classes ranging from Ceramics to Digital Photography. Evanston Pop Up Art Show

More exciting news...The Pop Up Art Show in which I have been participating has been extended until March 3rd! This is the third show of it's kind put on by well-known gallerist Joy Horwich and her daughters at 1627 Chicago Avenue in Evanston. You can read more about it from the Chicago Tribune article here.   The show is open to the public every day from 10am - 6pm, so make sure to stop by and take a look at all the beautiful fine art.
